Radiation Protection
At ViaMedica, your safety and level of radiation exposure is important to us. Therefore, we provide all patients with a radiation dosage card for every visit, recording the dose received and type of exam. This card provides monitoring of the patients’ dosage of radiation for better protection and safety.
We also provide patients with CT scan shields for the parts of the body most sensitive to radiation exposure. These shields reduce the amount of radiation absorbed by those parts of the body. See below for examples.
